Pit Vipers, and dinosaur suits, and prom dresses, oh my!

These are just three things that made this 4.3.21 wedding so special (okay well know four with the unique date!)

I had the honor and privilege of photographing Jon and Amara's wedding on this special day. This date wasn't only a "designer" date for the 2021 wedding season, it also had a special meaning to the bride and groom and their family (but we'll let them share that).

Jon and Amara first met when the Air Force had moved Jon to Minot Air Force Base for his job. I actually met Amara through a random Facebook group and she was talking about how she was moving up to Minot and needed friends and does hair, and I told her I needed more friends and a hairstylist, and a friendship was born!

When Jon and Amara decided to trust me to capture their special day, I was thrilled! Not only did this mean the world to me because they have supported my photography from the start and they are two very special people to me, but because it was my first wedding. Thank you for trusting me to capture your special day!

Now, Amara and the rest of the wedding party had schemed up a nice little plan to surprise Jon. Jon and Amara knew they wanted to do a first look, but of course Amara wanted to jazz it up a little (if you know Amara, you know she doesn't go for normal stuff, I mean she made sure the whole wedding party had Pit Vipers!) So what did she decide on? Well, one groomsman was in a blow up dinosaur suit and the other was in Amara's prom dress from high school! It made for such a fun moment and we all had so many incredible laughs.

After Jon and Amara's actual first look, there wasn't a single dry eye because it was such a beautiful moment. The rest of the day consisted of wedding party photos, the ceremony, family photos, incredible grand entrances, a yummy dinner, and lots of partying and dancing!

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Grawbowski
